About the Role

We are a growing startup seeking a hands-on Manager / Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts to set up and lead our finance function. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting, compliance, financial planning, and cash flow to support rapid business growth. The candidate will play a key role in building robust financial systems, driving process efficiency, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

Manage end-to-end accounting, general ledger, and month-end / year-end closing.

Ensure accurate preparation and timely finalization of financial statements.

Develop and maintain internal control systems and accounting policies.

Prepare and present monthly MIS, variance analysis, and management dashboards.

Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor / customer ledgers, and inter-company transactions.

Compliance & Audit

Ensure timely and accurate compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF / ESI, Income Tax, MCA, etc.).

Coordinate and liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors.

Maintain updated knowledge of evolving financial regulations and accounting standards.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance readiness for audits and due diligence.

Operations & Business Partnering

Work closely with business, HR, and operations teams to align financial practices with company goals.

Oversee vendor management, payment processing, and credit control.

Manage payroll coordination and employee reimbursements in collaboration with HR.

Requirements

Qualification : Semi-Qualified CA (Inter CA) with 5–8 years of relevant experience.

Strong understanding of Indian GAAP, accounting standards, taxation, and compliance frameworks.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
