Role Overview
The Head – Admissions and Marketing will provide strategic and operational leadership in the planning, development, and execution of student recruitment, admissions, and enrolment strategies for the University of Bristol – Mumbai Enterprise Campus .
This role will oversee the complete admissions and marketing lifecycle, encompassing outreach, communications, engagement, and conversion to deliver a high-quality, efficient, and student-centred admissions experience. The postholder will play a key role in advancing the University's growth objectives, enhancing its visibility within the higher education landscape, and ensuring the attraction and enrolment of students who embody the University's academic standards and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Admissions Strategy
- Formulate and deliver evidence-based recruitment and enrolment strategies designed to attract, admit, and retain a diverse and high-calibre student body.
- Ensure admissions targets and outcomes are aligned with the University's strategic and academic objectives, supported by clear performance metrics.
- Marketing and Outreach
- Lead the development of the University's brand presence and positioning in India through integrated marketing, communications, and outreach initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships with schools, colleges, and other educational institutions to strengthen the recruitment pipeline and enhance institutional reputation.
- Prospective Student Engagement
- Oversee enquiry and contact centre operations to ensure that prospective students and their families receive timely, accurate, and personalised information and support.
- Implement robust systems and training to improve engagement, responsiveness, and applicant experience.
- Enrolment Growth
- Develop and deliver initiatives to increase the volume and quality of applications.
- Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to ensure that programme offerings remain responsive to market demand and institutional priorities.
- Stakeholder Relations
- Foster productive relationships with key stakeholders, including school counsellors, alumni, industry partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Represent the University at national and international education events, conferences, and forums to advance institutional engagement and visibility.
- Process Enhancement and Compliance
- Continuously evaluate and refine admissions and enrolment processes to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Utilise technology and data analytics to enhance decision-making and streamline applicant interactions.
- Market Intelligence and Insights
- Monitor domestic and global trends in higher education, providing strategic insights and recommendations to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Conduct benchmarking and analysis of peer institutions to inform policy development and strategic planning.
Qualifications And Experience
A Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline.A minimum of 12 years' progressive experience in admissions, enrolment management, or student recruitment within the higher education sector.Demonstrable experience in leading high-performing teams and managing large-scale recruitment and marketing initiatives.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.A comprehensive understanding of the higher education environment, both within India and internationally, including awareness of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and relevant regulatory frameworks.Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities, with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.Skills Required
