Join Blue Star's Corporate Planning & Strategy team in a role that combines strategic thinking with organisational programme management excellence. As Deputy Manager, you'll support management in strategic decision-making while driving the execution of company-wide transformation programmes. This role is designed for professionals who can translate boardroom strategies into ground-level reality through structured programme management.
Working closely with the businesses and cross functional teams, you'll ensure Blue Star's strategic initiatives in business transformation, operational excellence, and digital innovation deliver measurable business impact across the organisation.
Your Impact - What You'll Drive
This role brings in a unique combination of strategic planning skills along with implementation expertise wherein you will be required to engage with businesses and cross functional teams towards specific high impact opportunity identification for the next 3-5 years and beyond.
- Lead enterprise programmes : You'll orchestrate multiple high-stakes transformation programmes simultaneously ensuring they deliver measurable business impact on time and within scope
- Bridge strategy & execution : Working directly with senior executives and leadership, you'll translate strategic visions into structured programme roadmaps with clear milestones, dependencies, and success metrics
- Navigate complexity : You'll masterfully manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships, aligning diverse teams from manufacturing to IT, sales to finance, ensuring everyone moves in sync toward common programme objectives
- Drive decision-making : Through your analytical prowess, provide data-driven insights and recommendations that shape critical business decisions, presenting complex programme updates in crisp, actionable formats to senior leadership
- Champion change : As a transformation catalyst, you'll identify and address organisational resistance, building consensus and momentum for initiatives that fundamentally change how Blue Star operates
- Establish excellence : You'll implement and refine programme management frameworks that become the gold standard for how strategic initiatives are executed across the organisation
Role Requirements :
Educational qualifications : MBA + BE (any field) mandatory, Strategy domain expertise preferred
Experience : 6 - 10 years of proven experience out of which minimum 3-5 years working in :
Leading / part of a large-scale organisational transformation programmeCorporate strategy & planning departments executing transformation initiativesProgramme / Project management initiativesCompetencies :
Programme Management mastery : Deep understanding of programme management frameworks, governance structure, and organisational change navigationSuperior Communication skills, including PowerPoint storytelling skillsFunctional expertise / Strategic analysis : Skilled in market sizing, competitive analysis, assessing business models / value chain dynamics using frameworks like Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, and evaluating a business case (Go / No-Go) for new businessProven Track Record : Experience managing programmes that involved multiple stakeholders and delivered quantifiable business outcomesOrg Structure
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Corporate Planning who reports to the Chairman and MD, this role offers direct exposure to Blue Star's strategic decision-making process. You'll work in a flat structure alongside other Managers and Deputy Managers, contributing to initiatives that shape the company's future direction. This position serves as a stepping stone to senior leadership roles, providing unparalleled visibility across all business functions and direct interaction with top management.
