The core responsibilities for the job include the following :

Automation and Framework Development :

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for both cross-platform-based desktop applications and web portal applications.
  • Define and implement automation strategies that complement manual testing efforts.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI / CD pipelines.
  • Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance areas.

Testing Expertise :

  • Drive both manual and automated testing for comprehensive quality coverage.
  • Build and maintain robust test suites to ensure reliable regression testing.
  • Ensure accurate estimation for automation and testing tasks.

    • Performance and Scalability :

  • Leverage performance testing tools and methodologies to validate system scalability and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

    • Leadership :

  • Lead the SDET / QA team and provide technical mentorship on automation best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and enforce high-quality coding / testing standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, QA) to ensure seamless test integration.
  • Drive test strategy discussions, ensuring alignment with product and organizational goals.

    • Attention to Detail and Quality Advocacy :

  • Champion engineering excellence and best practices for testing.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of automation scripts, frameworks, and overall QA processes.
  • Ensure all products and releases meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong expertise in automation and test framework development.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent test automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of CI / CD pipelines (e. g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Good understanding of manual testing principles to complement automation efforts.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in testing both desktop applications and web portals.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e. g., JMeter, Locust).
  • Hands-on experience with API testing frameworks (e. g., Postman, Rest Assured).
  • Proven ability to lead a team, mentor junior engineers, and scale automation practices.
  • Strong focus on quality engineering, reliability, and scalability.
