Job description

Job Overview :

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in DevOps tools and practices, with a strong focus on automation, security, reliability, and performance. You will play a key role in enhancing our platform operations and delivery by providing technical leadership and working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with operations and development teams to ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Participate in the end-to-end software lifecycle : from design and estimation through development and ongoing support.
  • Improve operational processes through automation and cost-effective process enhancements.
  • Provide proactive support and monitoring for production environments.
  • Drive technical leadership and enable team members to adopt DevOps best practices.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues, performing in-depth root cause analysis.
  • Automate application deployment and environment management for client applications.
  • Lead and contribute to projects focused on AWS, DevOps, and monitoring implementation.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps roles with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies, solution strategy, and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration on AWS (certifications are a plus).
  • Deep understanding of containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in scripting using Shell and Python.
  • Experience in Linux-based environments (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
  • Proficiency with Ansible and Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
  • Strong experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or CruiseControl.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub, Bitbucket, or SVN.
  • Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
  • Experience using project management and documentation tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Exposure to load balancers / CDNs such as F5, HAProxy, and Akamai CDN is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS Kinesis Data Firehose is an added advantage.
