Job Title : Senior Academic Counsellor (Telecaller)

Department : Inside Sales

Location : Ernakulam

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Telecalling (EdTech experience preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Academic Counsellor (Telecaller) to join our Sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with prospective students and parents over calls, understanding their academic goals, and converting inquiries into successful admissions. This role is target-driven and requires strong communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Counselling

  • Connect with potential students and parents through outbound and inbound calls.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about available courses, admission criteria, and career outcomes.
  • Understand students’ aspirations and recommend the right academic programs.

2. Follow-Up & Conversion

  • Maintain consistent follow-up with leads via calls, WhatsApp, and emails to ensure high conversion rates.
  • Guide students through the admission process, including documentation and payment.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales and enrolment targets.
  • 3. Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing and academic teams to ensure smooth lead flow and conversion.
  • Participate in promotional activities, webinars, and counselling events to boost enrolments.
  • 4. Reporting & Record Management

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of calls, counselling sessions, and admissions using CRM tools.
  • Generate regular performance and conversion reports for management review.
  • Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Background in education, counselling, or related fields is an added advantage.
  • Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in telecalling or inside sales (mandatory).
  • Prior experience in the EdTech industry preferred.
  • Key Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and regional languages).
  • Excellent persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and result-oriented mindset.
  • Good organizational and follow-up abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
