Opportunity for Exterior Trims Design Engineer

Role : Senior Design Engineer – Exterior Trims (Bumper System, Grill, DRL Convers)Experience : 6 to 8 YearsJob Description :

• Design and develop Exterior Trims, such as Bumper Systems, Grills, DRL Covers, and exterior Panels, for the automotive industry, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional, and ergonomic requirements.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6 CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of soft trim components.
• Basic Knowledge about Team Center (PLM).
• Should have good Knowledge of Automotive Exterior Regulatory requirements for passenger vehicle
• Should be able to create the master section, concept & detailing independently.
• Should be proficient in GD & T, Gap Plan
• Generate technical documentation i.e. DFMEA, DFS, DFM, DFA, DVP
• Preparation of SOR & Support for supplier onboarding
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design processes and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to automotive interiors and soft trim Components / materials.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate designs and ensure they meet performance specifications.
• Drawing Creation with consideration of 3-2-1 principle, car positioning, customer methodology, GD&T etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, to integrate soft trim designs into vehicle platforms.
• Research new materials, manufacturing techniques, and industry trends to enhance soft trim designs and reduce costs.Educational Qualification : B.E., in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering (college of technology / university ORPost Diploma / Diploma in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering (college of technology / university
