Data Architect Lead

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead our data engineering efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the future of data engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

Broaden your horizons and expand your knowledge on modern data modeling challenges
Prioritize feature delivery with minimal disruption
Develop large-scale data initiatives

You'll be part of a fast-growing team, utilizing innovative tools and technologies to drive business success.

Requirements :

10+ years of experience in Data Engineering with 4+ years leading teams

Strong coding expertise : Python, JVM, Shell scripting with production-grade experience

5+ years in cloud-native applications with mandatory AWS expertise

Proven experience in Data Warehouse design & development using modern DW tools

Hands-on with Databricks and dbt (mandatory)

Expert in Airflow (workflow orchestration)

Strong experience building Spark applications

Deep understanding of file formats : Parquet, Delta Lake, OTFs

Proficiency in building CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD)

Solid knowledge of unit testing & test automation frameworks

Desirable Skills :

Familiarity with containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)

Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation)

Exposure to observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)

Soft Skills :

Lead & mentor a team of engineers

Drive client communication, requirement gathering, and roadmap planning

Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies

Conduct PR reviews & guide best practices

Strong documentation & communication skills

Proactive mindset focused on delivering business value
