Mainframe Developer - COBOL / JCL

About the Job :

We are seeking a Mainframes Lead to join our team in Chennai. This is a full-time position requiring 8-10 years of experience in mainframe technologies, with a minimum of 5 years in a technical leadership role. The work schedule is from 2 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM IST.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and mentor a team of mainframe developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.
• Manage source code and change management using tools like Endevor or IDZee, and Harvest or Gitlab.
• Schedule and monitor batch jobs using job schedulers such as ESP or Control M.
• Interact with and manage databases, specifically IMS DB and DB2, to ensure data integrity and application functionality.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure the team follows best practices for coding, testing, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
