Location : Chennai

Required Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Min. 15 years of exp preferably from R&D, Product Development.
  • Good Communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Deliver electrical hardware design and development on complex embedded systems in the field of mechatronic / robot, motor controls, high-speed wired / wireless communications, power control systems in Medical Devices.
  • Translate design inputs to engineering specifications and produce component and sub-system level designs.
  • Write detailed design documentation, including specifications, verification plans and regulatory control plans in accordance in compliance standards.
  • Responsible for delivery from concept to production of such complex systems.
  • Conduct research, understand and publish industry innovations / technology trends in the relevant product fields.
  • Work on Value Engineering including component selection, process efficiency, design changes and end of life management.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of customer needs and design inputs.
  • Demonstrate ownership and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
  • Work Collaboratively with Project management, quality, process, testing, reliability and regulatory teams to accomplish project requirements.

    • Skills & Experience :

  • Extensive work experience and skills in Industrial Robots, Mobile Robots, Industrial Automation, Monitoring and Control, Artificial Intelligence Application in these areas
  • Experience in Hardware Design with broad range of electronic components and hardware, including but not limited to, precision analog / digital, power, FPGAs, microcontrollers, memories, logic, signal conditioning, high speed digital interfaces like Ethernet, USB, PCI, LVDS, SATA and wireless interfaces as well. – Preferably from Medical devices background.
  • Hands-on experience in full product development lifecycle including concept development, design, prototyping, implementation, debug, verification, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing
  • Experience in design and development of motor and sensor control systems, Signal processing algorithm and data analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of fabrication processes, component selection criteria.
  • Knowledge on ISO 13485, IEC 60601-x, IPC standards.
  • Experience in PCB design software for schematics, simulation and board layout.
  • Cadence, Orcad, Allegro, Mentor, Altium, Pads or equivalent.
  • Design Validation / debug using High speed Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, JTAG Interface, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Field probes etc.
  • Experience in additional peripherals like displays, keypads, gesture inputs, storage are good to have.
  • Good understanding of EMI / EMC.
  • Good understanding of ML / AI systems.
  • Good understanding of IoT product concepts.
