Job Description

• Oversee all legal and secretarial functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic legal advice to management on various matters, including contracts, disputes, and corporate governance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with company law, securities law, and other applicable regulations.
• Act as the point of contact for all legal and secretarial matters with external stakeholders.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.
• Support the board of directors with secretarial duties, including meeting preparations and maintaining statutory records.
• Stay updated on legal developments in the property and public work sectors to guide the organisation effectively.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Legal and Secretarial should have :

• A professional qualification in law (LLB or equivalent) and membership in a recognised company secretarial body.
• Proven expertise in handling legal and corporate secretarial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of corporate laws, property laws, and public work regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide clear legal guidance.
• A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
