We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Network lead to guide our IT network efforts and ensure the continuous operations and performance of Aviva’s enterprise network, security and telephony infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of our network systems, ensuring robust performance and security across our operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our mission of delivering exceptional service and reliability. This position will ensure high quality service delivery through daily management or team, vendor performance, crisis management and adherence to service levels and network improvement initiatives. This position will provide operational leadership and vendor oversight on incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership :
- Lead the architecture and deployment of scalable, high-performance network solutions to meet the growing demands of our business.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to align network strategies with business objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Solutions Expertise :
Analyse business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.Perform network modelling, analysis, planning and develop technology roadmaps.Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect company assets while ensuring compliance with industry standards.Incident Management and Response :
Perform complex tasks on critical infrastructure upgrades, projects and enhancements.Oversee daily network operations, ensuring optimal performance and availability of network services.Provide escalation point in enhancing and troubleshooting in network, routing problems.People Management
Build the team, optimizing talents and growing individualsVendor Management
Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).Network Security
Evaluate and enforce existing network security policies and procedures to protect company assets.Consistently review network security posture against business protection standards and plan for gap fulfilment.Compliance and Governance :
Support regulatory and internal audits, ISRA, Business Protection and Info security reviews.Create new procedures in compliance with ISO industry standards.Key Skills
In-depth knowledge of network principles, protocols and technologiesProven expertise in configuring and managing routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.Deep understanding of network security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and teamwork.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or a related field.Relevant certifications like CCNP, CCIE Routing and Switching are required.Proven track record of at least 10+ years of experience in network management, with a strong focus on enterprise-level infrastructure with a focus on technical leadership and solutions expertise.Experience with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN, SASE technologiesStrong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
