About the Resort :

We are a high-end 4-star resort in Arambol, North Goa, known for exceptional guest service and diverse cuisine offerings. We are now seeking an experienced Chinese Cook to join our team and elevate our Asian kitchen segment.

Role Summary :

The Chinese Cook will oversee preparation and service of Chinese cuisine offerings – stir-fries, wok-cooked mains, dim sums, sauces, noodles, etc. The role ensures flavour authenticity, timely service and high presentation standards. Reports to the Executive / Sous Chef and collaborates with the broader kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and cook Chinese dishes as per menu (e.G., Cantonese, Szechuan style, local Asian / Chinese fusion).
  • Operate wok, steamers, burners and other Asian kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, presentation and portioning.
  • Work with the F&B team to keep the Chinese section fully stocked (sauces, condiments, raw materials).
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards specific to Asian kitchen operations.
  • Suggest menu innovations or additions for the Chinese section — seasonal specials, seafood variations, vegetarian Asian options.
  • Train and guide junior cooks / commis working in the Chinese kitchen section.
  • Coordinate with service staff for timely plating and guest requests (dietary preferences, vegetarian / vegan, halal etc).

Requirements & Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Chinese Cook in hotels / resorts / hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese culinary styles, knife skills, wok-techniques, authentic sauces and flavour profiles.
  • Experience working in high-volume service kitchens, with ability to maintain calm under pressure.
  • Good command of English and / or Hindi;
  • local language skills advantageous.

  • Understanding of food safety, kitchen sanitation, cross-contamination prevention.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, high-season peaks.
