Shift : Starts from 2 PM

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a pivotal role in both outbound and inbound prospecting efforts within the EXL Growth Office. The SDR will work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the company’s growth strategy. This role involves account and contact research, sales outreach, collaboration with sales leadership and representatives, and coordination with marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting :
Collaborate with the sales team to identify target accounts and contactsExecute, monitor, and track outbound sales campaigns by line of business and marketUse a consultative approach to understand prospect needs and communicate the unique value of EXL’s offeringsInbound Prospecting :
Qualify inbound leads generated through marketing effortsRespond to inbound emails promptly and transition qualified leads to the sales teamMarket Research :
Conduct periodic research to understand prospect prioritiesUtilize tools such as ZoomInfo, XIQ Insights, and other Salesforce-integrated platformsMessaging Development :
Create and refine call scripts tailored to specific industries and value propositionsDevelop targeted messaging by line of business and persona to align with brand positioningCollaboration & Communication :
Foster collaboration across sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teamsShare insights and feedback to improve messaging and outreach strategiesReporting & Analysis :
Use CRM tools to plan and track activities, update prospect data, and generate performance reportsAnalyze call data to identify trends and areas for improvementQualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent required.5 years of experience in Inside sales, Business Development or similar role, preferably in analytics, digital operations and digital transformation domain.Knowledge & Skills
Specialized knowledge and skill requirements to perform this job including certifications, licenses, etc.Prior experience in any of Retail, CPG, Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities, Hi- Tech, CME, Travel and Logistics industry is advantageous.Strong relationship building skills and effective communication and presentation abilities.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, especially with Sales.Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), sales engagement tool (e.g. (SalesLoft, Outreach, Groove, etc), research tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
