Collaborative Research Participant
This role is part of the Common Lives Project, a research initiative that aims to understand complex activities through AI models.
The participant will be required to wear a head-mounted camera to capture daily activities for 5 separate days within a 2-week window.
Key responsibilities include :
- Recording a minimum of 7 hours per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy
- Uploading footage to a secure platform, reviewing clips, and choosing to delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment
The household must meet certain requirements :
No children under 18 present or visiting during the recording periodFluent English speakers and consent from all adults in the spacePrivate, self-contained apartment or building, or indoor work environmentAll household members must agree to appear in the footageTo be eligible for this role, participants must have :
Indoor, non-customer-facing roles (e.g., not retail or child care)Same workplace or household participants should both have a camera mounted during the activityManual or creative work (e.g., chef, artist, carpenter, musician, electrician, mechanic)Self-employed or employer consent to record in the work environmentAble to use a computer for basic tasks like reviewing and uploading video clips
