About the Role
We are seeking a high-performance Business Operations Manager to help scale our India operations and streamline workflows for our US residential solar company. The right candidate will bring a B2C or D2C background (ideally in residential solar, renewables, or another fast-growth consumer business) and be obsessed with speed, execution, and efficiency.
This role is about building structure fast — tightening processes, mapping systems, and creating SOPs that let us move quicker than the competition. You’ll work directly with the CEO to design and enforce workflows, align cross-department handoffs, and help turn strategy into execution across both India and US teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Scale & Speed
- Build out and optimize the India office to support rapid growth of US operations.
- Identify slow points and implement faster, cleaner workflows.
- Drive a culture of urgency and accountability across teams.
- Process & Workflow Design
- Map out processes for sales, operations, finance, installs, and customer lifecycle.
- Develop SOPs that make complex processes simple, repeatable, and fast.
- Ensure execution speed without sacrificing quality or compliance.
- Visualization & Systems
- Create org maps, pipeline flows, and system diagrams that teams can follow at a glance.
- Use tools (Lucidchart, Notion, Draw.io, etc.) to bring clarity and alignment.
- Cross-Department Execution
- Align India + US operations to ensure seamless handoffs (sales → ops → finance → installs).
- Hold department heads accountable for KPIs and timelines.
- Support leadership in turning strategic ideas into day-to-day execution.
- Team & Vendor Management
- Oversee a small team of specialists and coordinate with US leaders.
- Manage outsourced partners, freelancers, and vendors to deliver on time.
