Role Overview: Seeking an experienced Intune Administrator (L2) specializing in Microsoft Tunnel for secure, per-app VPN connectivity. This role manages escalations for endpoint connectivity, certificate lifecycle, and tunnel gateway operations on Linux, ensuring secure access in alignment with Zero Trust principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve L2 escalations for Intune device connectivity and Microsoft Tunnel incidents (Android, iOS/iPadOS).
• Troubleshoot end-to-end tunnel flows, including DNS, PKI, certificates, TLS, and firewall paths.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions; maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Monitor and optimize tunnel performance; coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Tunnel Gateway (Linux/Ubuntu), including high availability, updates, and certificate management.
• Deploy and validate Intune VPN profiles, App Protection Policies, Device Configuration, and Compliance Policies.
• Integrate with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Conditional Access for secure access.
• Support change management, maintenance, and platform upgrades.
• Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, syslog, and Intune diagnostics for monitoring.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell/Bash and Microsoft Graph API.
• Generate operational reports on tunnel uptime, incident trends, and compliance.
• Enforce Zero Trust principles and ensure compliance with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
• Remediate vulnerabilities on gateways and endpoints.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in enterprise endpoint administration, including 2+ years with Intune and tunneling/VPN operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Tunnel (Linux deployment, certificates, HA, upgrades, per-app VPN, split tunneling).
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, NAT, proxies, firewall rules, TLS/PKI.
• Experience with Android Enterprise and iOS/iPadOS per-app VPN; Windows VPN familiarity is a plus.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash); experience with Log Analytics/KQL and platform logs.
• Knowledge of Conditional Access, device compliance, Intune RBAC, and tenant scoping.
• Proven L2 operations experience: incident, change, problem management; strong documentation skills.

• Exposure to other tunneling platforms (Zscaler ZPA, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, F5 APM, Cisco AnyConnect).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Entra Global Secure Access.
• Relevant certifications: MD-102, AZ-104, CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA.
