About the Role

As a WTG Foundation Design Expert , you will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) foundations across utility-scale wind projects. You’ll develop in-house basic design packages, review external engineering work, and ensure structural reliability, cost optimization, and compliance with international standards.

This is a pivotal role shaping the next generation of ACWA Power’s renewable infrastructure — ensuring every turbine stands on a foundation built to last.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive structural design and analysis for all types of WTG foundations — gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, ribbed, and shallow mat.

Conduct load and stress calculations , assessing static and dynamic loads from wind, seismic, and operational factors.

Optimize foundation designs for material efficiency, constructability, and long-term reliability.

Prepare and validate design basis reports, drawings, BOQs, and calculation packages .

Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards (BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, Eurocode, etc.).

Collaborate closely with geotechnical, electrical, and CTS teams to integrate structural design with project-wide systems.

Support the certification and approval process with engineering authorities and third-party verifiers.

Implement document control , maintain design records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (specialization in Structural Design or Project Management).

Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering preferred.

8–12 years of relevant experience in Renewable Power or Utilities , focusing on WTG foundation design .

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in :

STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM / RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, PLAXIS 2D / 3D

Strong technical background in :

WTG Foundation Design & Analysis

Geotechnical & Seismic Risk Assessments

Hydrological Flood Risk Interpretation

Civil Design Optimization

International Design Codes and Standards
