The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing operational activities, ensuring that all processes are streamlined, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's objectives. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and implementation of best practices to enhance operational efficiency and drive business success.

This position reports to the Director Operations and is part of the Manufacturing Function located in BDC, Bengaluru India and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations staff; provide guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Compliance and Safety : Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Operational Leadership : Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.

Oversee daily operations, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Resource Management : Manage budgets and resources to optimize operational costs.

Lead and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Ensure appropriate staffing levels and workforce management to meet operational demands.

Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Use data analysis and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce waste.

Strategic Planning : Contribute to the development of strategic plans and objectives for the organization.

Align operational goals with the overall business strategy.

Prepare and present operational reports for senior management.

Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.

Ensure business continuity and manage crisis situations effectively.

The essential requirements of the job include

An Engineering Degree with a master’s degree or MBA is often preferred.

Significant experience in operations management or a similar role, typically 10 -15 years.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

Business administration, Operations Management

Familiarity with operations management software, competence in using data analysis and business intelligence tools

Knowledge of Industry trends, best practices, relevant regulations, Quality Control and compliance requirements
