Job Title : ServiceNow SecOps Developer

Client : MLE Systems

Location : Remote

Experience : 6+ Years

Engagement Type : Contract (36 Months, extendable)

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days

About the Role :

MLE Systems is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) Developer / Consultant with strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow SecOps solutions.

The candidate will play a key role in delivering modules like Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), Threat Intelligence (TI), and Security Case Management. This role requires collaboration with InfoSec stakeholders and integration with leading security tools to enhance automation and incident response efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead design and implementation of ServiceNow SecOps modules :
  • Security Incident Response (SIR)
  • Vulnerability Response (VR)
  • Threat Intelligence (TI)
  • Security Case Management
  • Integrate ServiceNow SecOps with external tools (Splunk, Qualys, Tenable, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, etc.).
  • Develop custom applications, workflows, and automation using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and REST / SOAP APIs.
  • Work closely with security teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, gap analysis, and create solution architecture.
  • Implement automation of security processes through SOAR capabilities.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics for security KPIs and SLAs.
  • Ensure platform stability, performance tuning, and governance adherence.
  • Provide mentoring, best practices, and technical leadership to junior developers.
  • Support UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of ServiceNow experience, with at least 4 years in SecOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR).
  • Strong knowledge of integrations with external tools (Splunk, Qualys, Tenable, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks, incident handling, and vulnerability lifecycle.
  • Strong programming skills : JavaScript, Glide API, REST / SOAP web services, JSON / XML.
  • Familiarity with CMDB, GRC / IRM, ITOM is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Certifications :

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Security Incident Response (SIR)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Vulnerability Response (VR)
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred
  • Education :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with IRM / GRC modules, Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), SOAR use case design.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices and Agile / ITIL processes.
  • Working knowledge of other ITSM / ITOM modules.
