Role Summary :

The Master Data Product Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating complex SAP data structure setup activities to ensure data integrity, accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across Amgen's systems. This role combines strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration , and technical expertise in SAP to manage and optimize data governance processes and support enterprise-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data structure definitions, flows, and access rights models
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize business processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of SAP data structures
  • Shepherd projects to ensure seamless data flow across systems and platforms
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify and resolve complex data structure governance issues
  • Work cross-functionally on processes such as change control, deviation support , and issue troubleshooting
  • Monitor and analyze success metrics for data setup, implementing continuous improvements
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal governance policies and industry regulations

Basic Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • 6–8 years of experience in :
  • SAP ECC
  • Master data management
  • Data / process governance
  • Data operations in a biotech manufacturing context
  • Expertise in Material Master, Production Master, and Plant domains
  • Proven track record of leading data-centric projects across large-scale enterprise environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on data accuracy and process optimization

    • Must-Have Functional Skills :

  • Strong business and technical understanding of SAP ERP
  • Experience with cross-functional process governance and data strategy
  • Proficiency with :
  • MS Office
  • Project management tools
  • Data visualization tools for task, dependency, and risk tracking
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage initiatives while ensuring compliance
  • Solid experience in managing complex SAP projects
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in problem-solving, communication, and collaboration

    • Good-to-Have Skills :

  • Experience with :
  • SAP S / 4
  • SAP MDG
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable working with global and virtual teams
  • High initiative , ownership , and self-motivation
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Team player committed to shared goals
  • Effective presentation and public speaking skills
