About The Role

Enphase is looking for a dynamic, Sr. Engineer – Systems Engineering to work on some of our upcoming Energy management system project using photo voltaic inverter, Lithium ion based Energy storage product, auto transfer switch, gateway and multiple UI software products. In this position, the successful candidate will work on the system architecture, design, development, integration and validation of Energy storage system for residential markets.

What you will be doing

• Serve as the hands-on central technical systems Engineer for cross functional teams including electrical hardware, firmware, software, mechanical engineering, validation and quality / reliability groups.
• Use rich experience in the Systems Engineering domain to work on the architecture and development of Energy storage system.
• Participate in early-stage system product developments and ensure the successful capture of Design & development, Test & Certification, and Service / Repair requirements.
• Author the systems requirement document (SRD) along with architectural documents including but not limited to the interface documents, sequence diagrams and integration plans.
• Participate in the integration efforts once prototypes are made available in the systems engineering labs, including communication and power testing efforts, to make sure that the design meets the system design requirement.
• Perform grid code compliance studies (Steady state, transients, power quality) for grid tied and grid agnostic systems.
• Perform Failure Analysis, troubleshoot and identify the root cause of complex system level issues with no supervision.
• Guide system commissioning tool development for Energy management system.
• Reproduce the Field failures in the lab for identifying the root cause, drive the cross functional team for appropriate solution to the issues.
• Working in a high-energy, fast paced environment with a bias of action.
