The Functional Consultant is responsible for understanding business requirements, converting them into functional specifications, and ensuring the effective deployment of the Temenos T24 Transact banking solution. The role involves close collaboration with regional clients, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure the solution meets business needs and aligns with strategic goals.
This position may require occasional short-term travel to client sites based on business demands.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering
- Facilitate workshops and conduct interviews with business users to collect and document business requirements.
- Evaluate and confirm requirements to ensure completeness and coherence.
- Collaborate with business users during the requirements phase to obtain necessary information.
Solution Design
Create functional specifications, use cases, and process flows from collected requirements.Work closely with the technical team to design solutions addressing business needs.Ensure solutions align with Temenos T24 Transact functionalities and best practices.Prepare functional specification documents in User Story or Use Case format.Identify inconsistencies in requirements and resolve them with stakeholders.Implementation
Provide Temenos T24 Transact functional expertise during implementation.Assist in configuration and customization to meet business needs.Perform functional testing and support user acceptance testing.Review QA test cases and conduct functional or unit testing.Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between business users and the technical team.Facilitate clear communication and keep all stakeholders informed of project updates and changes.Documentation and Training
Prepare requirement specifications, functional specifications, and user manuals as per Temenos Implementation Methodology.Conduct end-user training sessions and provide post-implementation support.Support
Evaluate and resolve issues during implementation and post-implementation.Offer proactive solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.Assess and analyze business change requests for impact.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or MBA in Business, Banking, or related discipline.Technical Experience
Proven experience implementing Temenos T24 Transact core banking modules globally.Strong expertise in key Transact modules such as GL, Accounting, Reporting, and Static Tables.Solid understanding of banking operations and regulatory standards.Temenos T24 Transact product certification preferred.Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.Familiarity with JIRA for risk analysis, change request logging, and conflict management.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Skills Required
