Job Profile : Production & Planning Engineer

The Production & Planning Engineer is responsible for coordinating manufacturing activities, optimizing production schedules, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. This role bridges the gap between design, procurement, and shop-floor execution to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Process Optimization
• Analyze workflow and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Material & Resource Management
• Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Track machine and manpower utilization to optimize resource allocation.
• Quality & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and production protocols.
• Support audits and implement corrective actions for non-conformities.
• ERP & Documentation
• Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP).
• Prepare production reports, downtime logs, and performance metrics.
• Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with design, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth production flow.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
