Job Description : Automation Engineer
Role Overview
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness, security, and performance of software products. Leveraging your expertise in modern testing frameworks and methodologies, you will lead automation testing initiatives within your squad while collaborating closely with Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for implementing continuous testing practices, enhancing test coverage, and integrating automated tests into CI / CD pipelines to drive faster and more reliable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure product quality and reliability.
Apply advanced knowledge of automation testing principles, methodologies, and practices, including BDD.
Execute and manage automated tests using tools such as Playwright (mandatory), Cucumber, JMeter, Appium, and Postman.
Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar systems.
Conduct security, performance, accessibility, usability, and inclusion testing to identify risks early.
Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to support continuous delivery and improvement.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
Share expertise and mentor peers, contributing to best practices in QA.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automation testing, preferably within Fintech or related domains.
Mandatory : At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Playwright automation and demonstrated working proficiency.
Mandatory : Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript (at least one is required).
Strong experience with automation frameworks such as BDD (Cucumber, Jest).
Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of software development processes and risk-based testing approaches.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to thrive in Agile teams.
Availability : Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of less than 1 month.
