Senior AI Engineer - LLM

About the Role :

Build the next generation of intelligent AI agents. As a Senior Software Engineer - Backend AI Agents at Sales Marker, youll lead the development of scalable, LLM-powered systems under direct CTO supervision. Your work will drive innovation across our AI product stack, with an emphasis on agent design, user experience, and technical excellence.

Youll design core backend systems and work hands-on with LLMs, MCP, and other generative AI technologies, helping us transform enterprise automation.

What Youll Be Working On :

• Design and implement AI agent features using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
• Develop task automation, prompt logic, and techniques like Chain of Thought or Tool Use
• Optimize dialogue flows and decision-making to enhance user experience
• Define and track evaluation metrics (e.g., hallucination rate, success rate)
• Build robust, scalable APIs and backend modules for enterprise applications
• Collaborate closely with CTO, product teams, and researchers
• Push technical boundaries while ensuring quality and Stack & Tools :
• Languages & Frameworks : Python, TypeScript, Go, Express
• Cloud & Infra : AWS (Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, ElasticBeanstalk, Batch)
• Databases : Aurora, ElasticSearch, Athena
• Frontend : React, TypeScript, Amplify
• Monitoring : DataDog
• Collaboration Tools : GitHub, Slack, Gather, Requirements :
• 3+ years of backend development experience using Python or similar languages
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.)
• Proven experience in REST API or GraphQL design
• Solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS or GCP) for AI application deployment
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and backend architecture
• Experience developing in-house software products
• Practical knowledge of Model Context Protocol Preferred Skills :
• Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or agent orchestration libraries
• Prototype development with UX integration in mind
• Hands-on experience building custom GPTs or chatbots
