Job description

Job Title : Chartered Accountant (Manager)

Company : Agam Capital

Job Location : Vikhroli, Mumbai

We are looking for CA / CPA with at least 5 years post qualification experience in Fund Accounting / Investment Accounting / Hedge Fund Accounting / PE Accounting.

Responsibilities :

  • Update of general ledger accounts in Accounting ERP
  • Act as the 1st level review / quality control and escalate as needed.
  • Preparation / Review of Financial Statements, working papers and deliverables to Board /

Management, Auditors and Regulatory Authorities.

  • Prepare and / or review the supporting calculations.
  • Prepare / Review US GAAP, Bermuda / Cayman Stat, and Economic Balance Sheet financial

    • statements.

  • Support in preparation / review of Bermuda Solvency and Capital return / Cayman Annual

    • return.

  • Manage Cedant reporting.
  • Coordinate with the broader team and Insurance Managers on deliverables across multiple

    • teams and functions.

  • Provide support, for the annual audit, internal audit, quarterly regulatory filings, and board

    • meetings.

  • Provide ad hoc support as necessary.
  • Review and assess thresholds for assets impairment in co-ordination with Investment

    • managers and as per treaty conditions.

    Requirements

  • US / India Life and Retirement Products exposure. Traditional and / or Annuity products

    • preferred

  • Qualified CA / CPA with an open mindset to learn new concepts.
  • 5+ years of insurance / controllership or fund accounting experience related to month end

    • closings, annual audit process, and regulatory filings (preferred to have experience with the

    Bermuda Monetary Authority / Cayman filings)

  • Experience with designing and creating reconciliation tools and variance reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adopt a creative approach to solving complex process

    • problems.

  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet time commitments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills Qualification : CA / CPA (required) Experience : 4-6 years of post-qualification
