About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development & Portfolio Manager to lead and expand our finished formulations portfolio and drive global growth. This senior-level role goes beyond portfolio strategy—it requires leadership in team building, cross-functional alignment, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharma business development and portfolio management, along with proven experience in managing teams and driving high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define and execute the portfolio strategy in alignment with company vision and revenue targets.
  • Lead identification, assessment, and prioritization of new product opportunities through in-depth market research, competitor mapping, and financial modeling.
  • Monitor and optimize portfolio performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance profitability.
  • Evaluate opportunities for product acquisitions, dossier purchases, and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive in-licensing strategies, including deal sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation.
  • Expand into new geographies and therapeutic segments by developing tailored market entry plans.
  • Represent the company in global business meetings, industry conferences, and partner negotiations.
  • Manage and finalize commercial agreements, CDAs, and NDAs with potential partners.
  • Competitive intelligence mapping & generating monthly insights from IMS and provide synopsis on monthly meeting.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business development and portfolio team.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and accountability standards for team members.
  • Foster collaboration and ensure alignment across BD, Regulatory, R&D, and Commercial teams.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in pharma business development , in licensing and portfolio management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to build and manage teams, set KPIs, and deliver on business targets.
  • Strong experience in portfolio strategy, market intelligence, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals, in-licensing, and expansion into new markets.
  • Expertise in market intelligence tools (IQVIA, EXIM, IMS, IPD Analytics) and financial modeling.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, dynamic environment and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for business development and strategic meetings.
