Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with urological conditions .
- Assist in performing and managing urological procedures , both elective and emergency.
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative care , ensuring seamless patient management.
Surgical Support
Assist senior consultants in urological surgeries , including minimally invasive, endoscopic, and open procedures.Ensure compliance with OT protocols, aseptic techniques, and patient safety standards.Patient Management & Counselling
Conduct detailed patient consultations, explain diagnostic findings, and discuss treatment options.Provide continuous patient follow-up to evaluate progress and modify care plans as needed.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.Diagnostics & Investigations
Order, interpret, and correlate diagnostic tests such as ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, uroflowmetry, cystoscopy, and laboratory investigations.Work closely with radiology, nephrology, oncology, and other specialties for multidisciplinary care.Team Collaboration & Training
Collaborate with nursing staff, OT teams, and clinical departments to ensure smooth coordination of patient care.Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, academic sessions, and CMEs.Mentor junior doctors, residents, and clinical trainees as required.Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.Support quality improvement initiatives within the urology department and overall clinical services.Research & Continued Learning
Stay updated with advancements in urology , minimally invasive surgery, and emerging treatment modalities.Participate in audits, research projects, and publication initiatives where applicable.Skills Required
