About the Role

Movate is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale AI-powered enterprise applications that enable knowledge automation and conversational intelligence .

You will lead backend design and development, optimize large-scale systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, resilient platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable backend systems using TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js) .
• Design and optimize data models and indexing in PostgreSQL and / or Elasticsearch for high-volume workloads.
• Build search and analytics pipelines supporting AI / ML and NLP-based solutions.
• Optimize APIs for high throughput, low latency , and global scalability .
• Define and enforce best practices in code quality, observability, and CI / CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with AI teams to integrate ML inference, semantic search, and vector indexing into production.
• Ensure system reliability, data consistency, and fault tolerance across distributed services.
• Mentor junior / mid-level engineers and contribute to the long-term technical roadmap .
• Work with DevOps to deploy containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.
