As we expand our Operational Integrity and O&M support capabilities, we are looking for a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our discipline engineering team. This role serves as the Technical Authority for Process Engineering & Process Safety , supporting multiple offshore assets and brownfield projects.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will :
- Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to HSSE, ensuring safe work practices at all times.
- Provide process engineering support to O&M activities and contribute to maintaining process safety across assets.
- Prepare, review, and approve process engineering deliverables for plant modifications and brownfield projects.
- Continuously monitor the Operating Envelope to ensure equipment and systems operate within their Design Envelope and meet SCE performance standards.
- Serve as Barrier Owner for related SCE elements and lead process safety verification activities, including audits.
- Participate in Operations Risk Assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL studies, incident investigations, and RCA sessions.
- Provide discipline input into Management of Change (MoC) and review concession / deviation requests.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures, Operating Manuals, and Operations Assurance Plans.
- Conduct lessons-learned reviews and integrate key learnings into design and operations.
- Provide technical support to operations teams and travel offshore as required.
- Develop scopes of work and ensure engineering contractors deliver process design in accordance with standards.
- Monitor design progress, identify risks or schedule delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare technical reports and progress updates to support management decision-making.
- Participate in procurement activities, including preparation and evaluation of technical submissions and vendor prequalification.
- Provide discipline input to bids for new operating assets or projects.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or related field).Strong understanding of process engineering design, functional assurance, and offshore O&G operations.Experience
15–20 years of experience in upstream oil & gas production facilities.Minimum 7 years of offshore design experience is mandatory, preferably including FPSO experience.Experience working with engineering consultancy / EPC firms is required.Experience with an Oil & Gas Operating Company is a significant advantage.Exposure to Process Safety Management in operating plants is desirable.Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of international process engineering standards and codes.Proficient in UNISIM HYSYS (static simulation required), PIPESIM, FLARESIM, FLARENET, PIPENET, HTRI Xchanger, etc.Expertise in hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, PSV sizing, relief & blowdown, HIPPS, HP / LP interfaces, and all process safety elements.Knowledge of hydrate management, flow assurance (deep water subsea wells), and mercury removal is advantageous.Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interactions and best industry practices.Ability to undergo training and certification needed for offshore travel and assignments.Interpersonal Skills
