Shyam Chemicals - Deputy General Manager - Project

Location : Ankleshwar, Gujarat (Travel Required).

Job Summary : We need an experienced professional to lead our new plant setup from concept to commissioning. This role involves managing the full project lifecycle, including budget, timelines, and all regulatory approvals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in chemical engineering and a proven track record of managing greenfield projects in Responsibilities :

• Project Leadership : Lead the entire project, defining scope, timeline, and budget. Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, from vendors to government agencies.
• Engineering & Technical Oversight : Finalize engineering design and plant layout. Manage the procurement of all major equipment. Oversee construction, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Regulatory Management : Secure all necessary licenses and permits from local and state authorities, including the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB). Ensure compliance with Indian regulations like the Factories Act.
• Vendor & Contractor Management : Vet and manage all third-party vendors and contractors. Negotiate contracts and oversee site operations.
• Commissioning & Handover : Lead the commissioning and validation of the plant. Develop a seamless handover plan to the production and operations teams.
• Budgeting & Reporting : Manage the project budget, track expenditures, and provide regular reports to senior Education : Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. MBA Preferred.
