MD - Coverage Banker (Energy & Infrastructure / TMT)

Aquis Search has partnered with a leading Investment Bank, in their search for a MD-level sector coverage banker to lead origination in Energy & Infrastructure or TMT. The remit : own C-suite relationships, originate advisory and financing mandates, and partner tightly with product teams (M&A, ECM / DCM, Structured / Project Finance).

What you’ll do

Lead sector coverage and originate mandates (sell-side / buy-side M&A, equity / debt, structured / project finance).

Convert a warm network into a repeat mandate pipeline; bring in product / sector partners as needed.

Build and coach a lean team; set the sector’s origination agenda and coverage priorities.

Work cross-border with regional and global teams to drive distribution and execution.

What you bring

15+ years in investment banking currently at MD level (or exceptional Director at MD-calibre).

A portable book and named CXO / Board relationships in one or more of :

E&I :

renewables / RTC, storage, transmission / distribution, infra sponsors, PSUs / sovereign / DFIs.

TMT :

data centres / digital infra, towers / fibre, telecom, SaaS / consumer internet, semis.

Last 12–24 months of personally originated mandates (deal list + role + outcome).

Comfort partnering with product teams; ability to switch between advisory-led and balance-sheet-led approaches.

Strong compliance track record; stable tenure.
