Description :
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in encryption and key management technologies to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSM), strong foundational knowledge of security operations, and an understanding of infrastructure and DevOps workflows. This role requires excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills to support secure system design and protect sensitive data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Key Management :
- Implement, manage, and maintain data encryption solutions across various platforms and applications.
- Administer Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for secure key generation, storage, rotation, and lifecycle management.
- Define and enforce key management policies, access controls, and governance processes.
- Support encryption for data-at-rest, data-in-transit, and application-level security use cases.
Cybersecurity Operations :
Contribute to the development and execution of cybersecurity standards, procedures, and best practices.Perform security assessments, identify gaps, and recommend improvements related to encryption, identity, and infrastructure security.Collaborate with incident response teams to troubleshoot and investigate security issues involving cryptographic components.Systems & Infrastructure Support :
Work with infrastructure teams to integrate encryption with firewalls, load balancers, databases, and monitoring tools.Support system hardening, secure configuration, and auditing for Unix-like operating systems.Ensure secure integration of cryptographic services into enterprise applications.DevOps & SDLC Support :
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to embed security controls throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Use tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or equivalent for CI / CD pipelines with secure key usage.Support automation of cryptographic tasks and integration into build and deployment processes.Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication :
Communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work closely with product, engineering, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure security alignment.Provide guidance and training on encryption best practices and key management processes.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related roles.Hands-on experience with data encryption, key management, and preferably Hardware Security Modules (HSM).Strong understanding of Unix / Linux system administration.Familiarity with infrastructure components - firewalls, load balancers, databases, monitoring platforms.Experience with DevOps tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar).Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in explaining security concepts to non-technical users.Nice to Have :
Experience with cloud-based key management services (KMS) such as AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, or Google Cloud KMS.Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or cloud security credentials.Knowledge of PKI, certificate management, or tokenization technologies.(ref : hirist.tech)
