ROLE

A fast-growing US-based technology startup is rebuilding its entire enterprise UI from scratch, moving away from a third-party visualization layer to a fully native, AI-ready product console.

We are hiring a Senior Frontend Architect & Engineering Lead in India to own frontend architecture end-to-end and build a high-performing frontend team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role with direct exposure to US leadership and strong influence on product direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the complete frontend architecture, including component systems, design systems, performance standards, and long-term scalability.

Architect and build a modern enterprise UI from the ground up (no template-based frameworks).

Lead 1–2 frontend engineers initially, scaling the team to 4–6 engineers over time.

Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, code reviews, and best practices.

Build real-time, data-heavy dashboards including charts, tables, timelines, and streaming updates.

Translate complex enterprise workflows (incidents, alerts, services, runbooks, dashboards) into clear, intuitive user experiences.

Collaborate closely with backend, DevOps, UI / UX, and product teams to ensure aligned architecture and seamless delivery.

Drive interviewing, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance development for the frontend team.

Work directly with US-based leadership on architecture decisions, roadmap planning, and phased delivery.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (Must-Have)

Frontend & UI Architecture

10–15+ years of frontend / UI engineering experience.

Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, Next.js.

Strong hands-on experience with :

Tailwind CSS

shadcn / ui or MUI (or equivalent component libraries)

React Query / TanStack Query

TanStack Table (or MUI DataGrid)

Recharts / ECharts (or similar visualization libraries)

Proven experience building UIs that handle large datasets, real-time updates, and high-frequency events.

Strong understanding of modular, scalable design systems and performance optimization.

BACKEND INTEGRATION & PLATFORM EXPOSURE

Solid experience integrating frontend applications with complex enterprise APIs.

Strong exposure to backend systems including :

Python (FastAPI preferred)

PostgreSQL

OpenSearch / Elasticsearch

Hands-on experience with WebSockets / Server-Sent Events (SSE) for real-time UI updates.

Familiarity with OIDC / OAuth2 / JWT-based authentication and RBAC models.

LEADERSHIP & COMMUNICATION

Prior experience leading teams of 5–10 engineers.

Extremely hands-on : architecture ownership, core module development, and code reviews.

Strong written and spoken English, comfortable working directly with US stakeholders.

Structured, calm problem-solver with strong analytical and mathematical thinking.

Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Good To Have

Experience with monitoring, observability, AIOps, or operations platforms, such as : Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace, Kibana, Prometheus.

Exposure to incident, alerting, logs, metrics, and service health workflows.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD pipelines.

Exposure to AI / LLM-driven UX or AI-assisted workflows in enterprise products.
