Technical Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a senior backend engineering leader to drive technical excellence, architecture vision, and delivery for our platform. You will manage engineering projects, mentor a high-performing team, and ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and secure. Experience with Tier-1 Indian colleges and delivering high-scale, product-driven backends is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage backend engineering teams, providing technical and architectural direction.
• Deliver multiple development projects with a focus on quality, scalability, and timely execution.
• Gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and align with stakeholders.
• Guide teams through architectural design, system planning, and thorough code reviews.
• Build and optimize backend systems, applying microservices principles and high-scale architecture best practices.
• Foster best coding practices, unit testing, and maintainability across the codebase.
• Drive integrations, performance tuning, devops maturity, and third-level support for critical business systems.
• Stay current with backend trends and proactively introduce new technologies, tools, and workflows.
• Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to team onboarding, growth, and culture.

Requirements

• 10–12+ years of professional backend development experience, with 3–5+ years in a leadership / management role.
• Strong academic credentials;

a degree from a reputable Indian engineering college is preferred.

• Proven track record designing high-scale backend architectures (e.G., e-commerce platforms is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with Python / Django, Node.Js / Express, and AWS or GCP cloud services.
• Advanced expertise in backend, microservices, devops, and data engineering.
• Passion for building scalable, secure, and maintainable platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic product-thinking skills.
