Senior Engineer - Full stack (.NET + Angular)

General objective

Reinforce existing developing team to enable the implementation and maintenance of the core components of Business Supporting Applications team of ArcelorMittal.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior developer to be part of the team that develops and does the maintenance of our applications.

These entail : all the supporting departments of ArcelorMittal Belgium, ones that covers the complete cluster, as well as some used throughout Europe.

The ideal candidate has a passion for creating stable applications and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers when these would join the team.

You will collaborate also with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.

You will be integrated into a team for doing developments based on functional technical specifications, writing good quality code, designing of patterns, debugging of programs, test execution, usage of frameworks, deployment, rolling out and creation of documentation.

Functional relations :

Apart from the relation with the superior, the main stakeholders of this position will be other IT people in the local cluster. However, interactions with our business users will not be an exception, so the candidate needs to have proper communication skills.

Activities

Develop and maintain the applications. Take ownership and execute development, testing, and deployment of the applications.

Be functionally knowledgeable about the application, you can be involved in functional and technical analysis.

Code Quality and Best Practices : Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.

Technical Mentorship : Provide guidance to junior and mid-level developers, offering code reviews, architectural advice, and knowledge-sharing.

Performance Optimization : Making sure that the applications are stable and performant and addressing the performance bottlenecks and bugs.

Integration : Integrate with external systems, third-party APIs, and cloud services as needed to deliver comprehensive features.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for improvement in existing applications and processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements.

Agile Development : Actively participate in agile way of working, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing accurate time estimates for tasks.

Minimum skills :

At least, 7-year experience in full stack development in large scale projects with .NET6 or higher (C#), Angular 16 or higher, HTML5. Visual Studio & TFS, GIT…

Hands on experience with the deployment, hypercare and maintenance of a large-scale project, including branching strategies, deployment pipelines and CI / CD setup.

Experience working on SQL environments. (database : SQL server)

Experience with .NET in Azure cloud

Knowledge and feeling with good UX for front-end development (in Angular / Typescript)

Demonstratable experience applying agile methodologies (SCRUM).

Experienced in performance and tuning.

Experienced in XML and REST web services

Proficiency with API documentation tools and the OpenAPI specification

Experience working with messaging systems (ASB, RabbitMQ,..)

Experience working with Entity Framework

Experienced with architectural concepts like event driven design, DDD, TDD and microservices
