Primary Responsibilities :
- Teach and mentor MBBS students through lectures, case discussions, and practical demonstrations.
- Support postgraduate training and help in thesis supervision under senior faculty guidance.
- Participate actively in medico-legal casework including post-mortems, age estimation, injury certification, and court testimonies.
- Maintain accurate records and medico-legal documentation as per institutional and legal requirements.
- Assist in organizing academic activities like CMEs, seminars, and departmental audits.
- Contribute to departmental research, case studies, and academic publications.
Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification : MD in Forensic Medicine from a recognized medical college.Experience : At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Resident (or equivalent) in Forensic Medicine.Registration : Valid NMC or State Medical Council registration is mandatory.Publications : Desirable but not mandatory for Assistant level, as per NMC guidelines.Skills Required :
Sound clinical knowledge and practical experience in autopsy procedures and forensic evaluationsClear communication and teaching skillsAbility to handle medico-legal responsibilities professionally and ethicallyBasic knowledge of legal terminology and court proceduresStrong interest in academics and ongoing learningRequirements : Benefits :
