Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Architecture
  • Develop and document high-level and low-level network designs for enterprise environments.
  • Architect scalable solutions leveraging SD-WAN, advanced routing protocols, and switching technologies.
  • Deployment & Implementation
  • Lead the end-to-end deployment and configuration of SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, VeloCloud, Meraki).
  • Implement and optimize LAN / WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and edge devices.
  • Perform network migrations, upgrades, and integration projects with minimal downtime.
  • Operations & Troubleshooting
  • Provide Level 3 escalation support for complex network issues and outages.
  • Analyze packet captures, logs, and performance metrics to troubleshoot advanced problems.
  • Optimize network performance, latency, and reliability through continuous improvement.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Ensure network security best practices are applied across all designs and implementations.
  • Work with security teams to enforce policies, firewall rules, and segmentation.
  • Documentation & Collaboration
  • Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration standards, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in cloud, security, and infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies (deployment, configuration, policy, optimization).
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols : OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 & 3 switching , STP, VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, QoS.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-class networks.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetFlow, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible) is an advantage.
  • Certifications
  • CCNA or CCNP required (CCNP preferred).
  • Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision.

    • Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of firewalls (Cisco ASA / FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
