Land Acquisition Lead

Role Overview

As Land Acquisition Lead, you will drive acquisition of large-scale land parcels for Utility-Scale Solar Power Projects across India. You will be responsible for identification, due diligence, government liaisoning, and stakeholder management to ensure smooth acquisition for our renewable energy growth pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Land Identification & Feasibility

– Identify suitable land parcels, assess technical & financial viability, coordinate with internal teams.

Acquisition & Title Due Diligence

– Ensure clear land titles, manage purchases / leases, liaise with landowners & legal advisors.

Government & Regulatory Liaisoning

– Work with Revenue Dept., District Collectors, Registrars, and State Nodal Agencies.

Stakeholder Management

– Build trust with landowners, aggregators & community leaders; resolve disputes & mitigate risks.

Documentation & Compliance

– Maintain proper documentation, approvals & land records in coordination with legal.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

– Align land acquisition with solar project pipeline, forecast budgets, report to CXO.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Graduate (Any discipline)

10–15 years in land acquisition for Infrastructure / Energy projects (Solar preferred)

Proven record in handling 100+ acre acquisitions across states

Strong knowledge of land laws, revenue systems & state regulations

Proficiency in Kannada & Hindi (other regional languages a plus)

Skills & Competencies

Excellent negotiation & persuasion skills

Strong grasp of legal & regulatory frameworks

Ability to manage socio-political dynamics on ground

Willingness to travel extensively to project sites

High integrity, persistence & stakeholder relationship management
