Project Lead

Project Lead- GKB Hi-Tech Lenses Pvt. Location : Goa

At GKB Hitech Lenses Pvt. Ltd. , one of India’s leading ophthalmic lens manufacturers, we’re driving operational excellence across our manufacturing and service ecosystem. As we expand across multiple plants and regional hubs, we’re looking for an Project Head who will oversee end-to-end Project Execution including equipment installation, process automation and capacity expansion.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project leadership & Execution

Lead and support projects including equipment installation, capability expansion, operational efficiency initiatives, process automation, and technology adoption.

Implement data-driven projects such as KPI monitoring dashboards, production performance tracking and supply chain coordination.

Conduct feasibility assessments, prepare projects plans, manage change control and ensure alignment with business goals and performance outcomes.

Ensure timely achievements of deliverables, proactively drive execution with stakeholders, and ensure seamless integration with ongoing operations.

Operational Monitoring & Data Governance

Collect, verify, and analyse operational and logistics data from multiple sources.

Design and maintain performance dashboards, define and track KPIs and prepare MIS reports for leadership reviews.

Ensure accuracy of data governance and flag performance gaps with action recommendations.

Track delivery schedules, equipment uptime, productivity KPIs and efficiency improvements.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

Coordinate with OEMs, equipment suppliers, IT solution partners, and service providers for installation, commissioning and technical support.

Evaluate vendor documentation, SOPs and compliance requirements.

Monitor contractor execution quality and adherence to timelines.

Cost & Timeline Management

Track project budgets, resources, material utilization and ensure cost optimization in line with the business targets.

Support verification of contractor bills and measurement with documentation evidence.

Identify and manage project risks, drive corrective actions, and escalate delays or scope deviations proactively for timely mitigation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Manufacturing, PAN India lab Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Utility, IT, Supply Chain & Logistics.

Ensure smooth project handover and training to operations teams.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Identify operational bottle necks and propose improvements solutions.

Lead Kaizen, productivity enhancement, waste reduction, and automation initiatives.

Lead and support New Product Initiatives and rollout, ensuring equipment / process readiness, manpower training, SOP deployment & performance ramp-up

Educational Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

Years of Experience : 3-6 years
