Job description

Grow Your Staff is looking for a Senior US Accountant for a US-based independent board game publisher focused on developing interactive business stimulation games. This is a full-time remote position.

The role will have excellent growth opportunities. You will be directly working with the team based in the USA.

Experience required : 15 years+

Time : 5 : 30 pm IST - 2 : 30 am IST (Monday - Friday)

CTC : INR 15-20 LPA

Location : Remote

Type of employment : Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all core financial operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate estimates, invoices, credit memos, purchase orders, bills, vendor credits, and reconciliations for both vendor and customer accounts.
  • Calculate, report, and remit sales taxes and royalties;

ensure timely tax filings and documentation for vendors and accountants.

  • Lead monthly financial closing and deliver accurate financial reports within defined timelines.
  • Perform journal entries, accrual accounting tasks, and support external accounting firms for quarterly and annual tax filings.
  • Monitor company budgets, cash flow, and financial performance;
  • generate assigned financial and operational reports.

  • Provide financial guidance to leadership and coach junior staff on financial data to support better decision-making.
  • Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with US federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in weekly learning pathways to maintain and enhance technical knowledge.
  • Uphold company values and demonstrate strong professional and interpersonal skills.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the finance team and wider organisation.
  • Requirements

  • Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Google Suite .
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP , federal & state tax regulations, and US compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing end-to-end accounting cycles, including AR / AP, GL, inventory, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with restaurant / retail-style accounting structures (preferred).
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent US accounting certification preferred.
  • Proven expertise in US taxation, compliance, and statutory reporting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
