Job description

Role Title- Design Engineer- Climate Control

Tools - CATIA V5 / V6, 3DExperiance, Teamcenter, Visualization Mock-up

Exp – 5 – 7 yrs

Education -Bachelors / Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field

Job Descriptions :

  • This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry, CAD Proposals and Drawings / 3D annotations. You will have responsibility for :
  • Design and development of Cooing System and its Component, AC Lines & Hoses, Cooling Circuit layout
  • Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
  • Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
  • Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
  • Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
  • Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer / Scrum team
  • Ensuring that the all project deliverables are met on-time
  • Ensure all packaging feasibility for Component
  • Identifying all risks to the programme
  • Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & TCe
  • Good all round design skills which must include past experience of working on at least one of Cooling Systems
  • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
  • Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,

Skills requirement :

  • Good understanding of system level as well as component level working.
  • Knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for AC lines, HVAC, Condenser, Chiller, Mounts and brackets.
  • Knowledge of material selection for different components.
  • Ability to create parametric models using CATIA V5 and V6.
  • Working with parametric design and methodology.
  • Working knowledge of PLM systems (Team Centre)
  • Ability to benchmark and provide innovative approach for a problem.
  • Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE / VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions.
  • Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process – Plastic moulding methods, Casting & sheet metal
  • Should be a good team member.
  • Strong communication skills.
