FPO Support and Development Manager

Qualifications Graduate in Science / B. Tech in Food Technology and MBA (Marketing / Agri business / Rural management) from recognized institution. Preferably with Horticulture / Agriculture background

05 years’ in marketing and quality control, including Govt. / External Aided Project

Responsibilities

• Support for the establishment of the FPO and consideration of necessary guidelines.
• Technical guidance for conducting post-harvest handling and value-addition to the horticulture produce to FPO.
• Technical guidance for preparation and update of supply chain and marketing plan and arrange for field produce gathering.
• Analyse value chain and value addition of the locally available farm produce to increase the farmers’ income
• Technical guidance for formulation of FPO's business plan and management training program.
• Technical guidance to conduct post-harvest handling and value-addition to the horticulture produce to FPO.
• Support monitoring of FPO activities
• Prepare monthly plans, reports, field notes, thought papers and other documents.
• Support for the collection of agribusiness company information and the construction of a matching platform with the FPO.
• Support for the planning and implementation of business trials between FPO and Agribusiness companies.
• Support FPO to uptake advanced technology for their cultivation as well as marketing.
• Preparation of branding material for providing better price of farmers produce.
• Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats analysis.
• Evaluation of proposals submitted by entrepreneurs for marketing infrastructure.
• Preparation of information / report / road map etc. as per directions of District Implementation Unit & Project Management Unit.
• Coordination with PMU / PMC.
• Implementation of activities at cluster level.

Any other work assigned by the project authorities.
