SAP BW / 4HANA Developer

Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior BW / HANA developer with Amazon Web Services experience and demonstrated experience in hybrid environment to deploy both BI and advanced analytical solutions. This role participates in the conceptualization, design, development and delivery of BW / HANA and Native HANA solutions in Cloud and On-Premise in conjunction with senior solution architects.

In this position as a Senior BW / HANA Analyst with AWS experience you will be expected to have business process knowledge for key areas such as sales, inventory, Procurement or quality. You will be responsible to help defining ROI, requirements analysis, design and implementation of HANA and BW based Analytics solutions in on-premise and cloud. The candidate will work closely with project managers, vendor partners, business unit representatives, project sponsors and Segment CIO teams to deliver the solutions. The candidate is expected to communicate project status, issues and change control to all levels of management.

Responsibilities :

1. Review and / or extract requirements from business users. Identify business process gaps in the system through formal and informal communications

2. Be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. The candidate will know and love working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner with customers to answer key business questions.

3. Drive data democratization throughout the organization, enabling others to self-serve their data needs

4. Document solutions in the form of a Functional Design Document (FDD) including a technical specification, data lineage documentation, and gain agreement and sign-off from all business sponsors

5. Perform configuration changes for SAP BW, BODS and HANA systems on-premise and cloud 6. Lead SAP BW AWS Cloud Migration resource needed to manage cloud specific activities (BW to AWS)

7. Responsible for platform planning for warehouse platform which includes defining standards, implementing industrial best practices & trends for on-premise and cloud

8. Work with SAP analytics developers / programmers, including our third-party partners, to ensure that the requirements are understood, and an efficient, well designed solution is developed

9. Create test scenarios, perform systems testing and integration testing to ensure quality, functionality, and performance

10. Plan, coordinate, and communicate the deployment of changes to the production system. Possess complete knowledge of the Change Control System and TEIS Methodology

11. Create / update end user documentation and training documentation

12. Provide training on analytics solutions as required

13. Work with the supervisor and the project managers on resource planning and provide a sound recommendation on resource ramp up and ramp down based on the project need

14. Serve as a Project Leader when required, providing coordination of resources; developing project plans, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of work performed by the project team

15. Explore new capabilities available in the market and make recommendations that are relevant for TE

16. Provide consulting to the support team when needed

Required Skills :

1. Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science OR equivalent work experience in an IT organization.

2. 8+ years of SAP BW and 5 years of HANA, BW4 / HANA and AWS hands-on work experience

3. 5+ years of experience with BW / HANA Modeling concepts, scripting, optimization scenarios including hybrid scenarios, and performance tuning using HANA Studio and Wed IDE

4. 5+ Years of experience in supporting large data warehouse System using LSA++ Architecture to extract data from multiple sources like SAP, Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop and Cloud services

5. 2+ years of experience with deploying hybrid systems with on-premises and AWS components, AWS Cloud Formation, AWS RDS and NoSQL and Graph Databases

6. 2+ years of experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI / CID) tools like Jenkins, GIT, Nexus, etc

7. Functional knowledge around SAP Sales, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Inventory modules

8. BW Modelling Skills for building BW DSOs (Standard and Advanced DSOs) , ETL Loads, Process Chain, Performance Tuning

9. HANA Modelling Build HANA Model, Function Modules, Scripts

10. ABAP Skills Hands on ABAP Skills for BW Transformation, BW Function Modules etc

11. Experience with Data mapping, OSS Research, write functional and technical specifications 12. Experience with Batch job monitoring and defining best practices

13. Ability to collaborate with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams

14. Strong problem-solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.

15. Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based upon project deadlines.

16. Willing to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications

17. Ability to travel both within and outside of the country for specific projects, as needed

18. Prior working experience with Oracle, Data Warehouse and Bigdata processes & technology is a plus

19. Exposure / experience on S / 4 Hana is a plus

20. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
