Job description

Role Overview

Primary focus is UI / UX and ReactJS for our live CompliEase platform, with light FastAPI work (small endpoints, schema updates, and integrations). You’ll also help on our marketing website (AWS Lightsail, PHP / HTML).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & ship new front-end features in ReactJS ; convert Figma wireframes / prototypes into responsive, accessible components.
  • Maintain our design system (tokens, reusable components) using Material UI / Ant Design / Tailwind .
  • Work with backend engineers to consume and improve APIs; handle state management, caching, error states .
  • FastAPI (lite) work :
  • Add / modify small endpoints, routes, and controllers.
  • Define / update Pydantic request / response models; align OpenAPI docs.
  • Write basic unit tests, troubleshoot API issues, and perform Postman / curl testing.
  • Use PostgreSQL for simple reads / writes supporting UI features (filters, pagination, metrics).
  • Keep the company website up to date (AWS Lightsail, PHP / HTML / CSS / JS ).
  • Own delivery via Git (branching, PRs, code reviews) and assist with basic deployment steps.
  • Ensure performance , cross-browser responsiveness , and WCAG-aligned accessibility.

Must-Have Skills

  • ReactJS , JavaScript / TypeScript , HTML5 / CSS3
  • Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, interactive prototypes)
  • FastAPI (basic CRUD endpoints, Pydantic models, OpenAPI awareness)
  • PostgreSQL (writing safe queries, understanding schemas)
  • Git workflows; comfort with build / deploy basics
  • One modern UI library : Material UI / Ant Design / Tailwind CSS

    • Good-to-Have

  • PHP basics (for Lightsail site tweaks)
  • Accessibility (WCAG), Framer Motion / animation libs
  • Auth flows familiarity (cookies / JWT), API pagination, rate limiting
  • Agile / Scrum, Jira, CI / CD; enterprise SaaS or data-heavy dashboards experience

    • Work Setup & Timing

  • Remote within India.
  • Hardware : Use your own laptop for the initial months; company laptop provided after.
  • Connectivity / Workspace : Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional setup.
  • Hours : Flexible, with mandatory overlap with the U.S. team 9 : 00 PM–12 : 00 AM U.S. Central Time (CT) .
  • Typically 7 : 30–10 : 30 AM IST (during U.S. daylight savings) or 8 : 30–11 : 30 AM IST (standard time).
  • Remaining hours are flexible.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design / CS / IT or equivalent practical experience.
