Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years specifically with AWS Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on expertise with a wide range of AWS services, database technologies, and DevOps tools. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. A balance of strong technical and business acumen, along with excellent leadership skills, is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cloud Infrastructure Management : Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure primarily on AWS. This includes extensive hands-on work with EC2, ELB, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Storage Gateway, CloudFormation, and other related AWS services.
- AWS IoT & Data Services : Utilize and manage AWS IoT services for connected solutions and work with data warehousing solutions like Redshift.
- Database Management : Possess strong knowledge and hands-on experience with various Database Management Systems (DBMS) including NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- DevOps & CI / CD : Leverage expertise in DevOps tools, including AWS Code (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline), to automate continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Architecture Design : Contribute to and implement event-driven architectures and design robust RESTful APIs.
- System Optimization & Monitoring : Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources, performance, and costs using tools like CloudWatch, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaboration & Leadership : Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance. Translate technical concepts into business-friendly terms and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving : Apply an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex issues at various levels (OS, database, network, application).
- Innovation & Learning : Remain flexible and eager to learn and explore new technologies, particularly in Big Data and other emerging tech stacks.
Required Technical Skills :
5+ years of hands-on relevant experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering.2+ years of hands-on experience specifically in AWS Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS services :Compute : EC2, Lambda, ECS / EKS (if applicable)Networking : VPC, ELB, Route 53Storage : S3, EBS, EFS, Storage GatewayDatabases : Redshift (data warehousing), experience with RDS (PostgreSQL, Oracle), DynamoDB (NoSQL).Security & Identity : IAM, KMS, Security Groups, NACLs.Monitoring & Logging : CloudWatch, CloudTrail.Infrastructure as Code : CloudFormation (essential), familiarity with Terraform is a plus.IoT : AWS IoT Core and related services.Proficiency with developer tools like AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.Experience with event-driven architectures and RESTful API design.Hands-on experience with general DevOps tools and practices.Strong knowledge of DBMS (NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.Qualifications & Attributes
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Excellent Leadership and Managerial skills, with the ability to guide teams and make strong decisions.Strong analytical frame of mind with excellent problem-solving abilities.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to multi-task effectively in an organized manner.Should be flexible and eager to learn and explore new technologies.Knowledge of Big Data Technologies and other emerging technology stacks is an advantage.Knowledge in the automotive industry is preferred.(ref : hirist.tech)
