Job Description : Indirect Procurement (Services,& Non-RM / PM Categories)
Role : Manager / DGM - Indirect Purchasing
Function : Supply Chain / Strategic Procurement
Location : HO -Gurugram
Reporting To : VP-Procurement
Role Scope :
The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the
procurement of indirect materials and services, including consumables, utilities, IT,
marketing services, plant services, logistics services, and facility management. The role
requires strong cross-functional coordination with corresponding teams, engineering,
finance, projects, and external vendors to ensure timely availability of goods and services at
optimal cost, quality, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning & Demand Management
- Understand annual and monthly requirements for indirect categories based on
AOP / business needs.
Consolidate demand across units / plants to improve negotiation leverage and optimizepurchase cycles.
Develop sourcing calendars and procurement plans for AMC contracts, services, andconsumables.
Share fortnightly updates on the progress of sourcing activities and risk areas.2. Procurement & Sourcing Execution
Prepare RFQs, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, and finalize competitive vendorproposals.
Ensure cost optimization through strategic sourcing, benchmarking, and negotiationstrategies.
Vendor identification, and timely PO issuance.Manage end-to-end procurement for categories such as Marketing services, IThardware / software, Transport / logistics, Facility management.
3. Vendor Management & Development
Build strong relationships with service providers and indirect suppliers.Evaluate vendor performance through quality, delivery, adherence to SLAs, and servicereliability.
Develop 2-3 new vendors annually to strengthen the supplier pool and mitigate risk.Ensure vendor compliance with company policy, safety standards, and documentationrequirements.
4. Contracting & Compliance
Coordinate with HO teams to prepare and execute service contracts, lease agreements,and AMCs.
Ensure timely contract renewals and adherence to terms, SLAs, and statutoryrequirements.
Ensure procurement governance and compliance with audit requirements.5. Costing, Analytics & MIS
Track indirect procurement spends, cost savings, and category-level variances.Prepare robust monthly MIS for management review including spend analysis, open POstatus, and savings achieved.
Maintain vendor master, PR / PO tracking, and timely contract creation in SAP / ERP.Support budget planning through data-driven insights and cost models.Education & Experience Requirements :
B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, etc.) or MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain / Operations.6-8 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, MRO sourcing, Capex procurement, orservices contracting in FMCG / manufacturing environments.
Technical Skills :
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.Understanding of service agreements, and techno-commercial evaluation.Proficiency in SAP / ERP procurement modules.Ability to conduct spend analysis and develop cost-saving strategies.Knowledge of compliance, taxation, and commercial terms.Behavioral Competencies :
