Database Engineer (DBMS, ADF, SSIS, T-SQL)

High-Level Responsibilities :

 Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory,

incorporating SSIS packages where applicable.

 Write and optimize T-SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and

loading.

 Collaborate with the customer’s data architects to understand and modernize

legacy data integration patterns.

 Perform relational database design and schema optimization for Azure SQL or

Synapse targets.

 Support migration of on-premise or legacy ETL jobs into cloud-native Azure

Integration Services.

 Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot data pipeline issues during sprint cycles.

 Provide support during UK overlap hours (up to 8 PM IST) to align with customer

team’s collaboration windows.

Mapped Skills :

 Azure Data Factory development (SSIS helpful)

 T-SQL development

 Relational database design

 SQL Server Management Studio

 Azure Data Studio

 Azure Portal

 Visual Studio 2022

 Experience migrating existing integrations to AIS

Recommended Skills :

 Azure Synapse Analytics (often paired with ADF in modern pipelines)

 Data flow transformations in ADF

 Data lake concepts and Azure Data Lake Gen2

 Monitoring & debugging ADF pipelines

 Integration Runtime setup and optimization

 Azure Key Vault integration in ADF

 Performance tuning in SQL Server and Azure SQL DB

 Knowledge of Delta Lake format if modern analytics is a goal
