Role : Manager / Sr. Manager - Procurement

Location : Bangalore

The incumbent will be working directly with the project team on the overall planning and implementation of procurement strategies with respect to the ongoing projects. You will also suggest value engineering strategies in order to improve the cost efficiency while keeping the project deliverables in mind. you will play a pivotal role in procuring and managing interior fit-out packages for ongoing projects. Your expertise in negotiation, cost estimation, vendor management, and market trends will be essential to our project success.

Key Responsibilities :

Drive Rate Contracts Creation :

  • Develop and maintain rate contracts with vendors for C&I, MEP, AV, IT requirements etc. for projects.
  • Negotiate and command best-in-the-market payment and contractual terms to ensure cost effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Vigorously monitor contract performance, compliance, and renewal processes.

Tendering :

  • Oversee the end-to-end tendering process, including bid preparation, evaluation, and awarding of contracts.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify project requirements and develop tender documentation accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the tendering process.
  • Evaluate and analyze bids received, considering factors such as cost, quality, and delivery schedule for required project items and long lead items.
  • Abreast with order placement strategies and ability to negotiate on multiple payment terms.
  • Vendor Relationship Management :

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendor, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with team to assess vendor performance and proactively address any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and implement improvement strategies as needed.
  • Establish connections with multiple vendors and maintain material selection readily available for swift decision-making
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting :

  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Assist in developing project budgets and forecasts by providing accurate cost estimates and procurement timelines.
  • Documentation and Reporting :

  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, tenders, and procurement activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on procurement metrics, performance, and cost analysis for management review.
  • Driving automation and digitalization of the procurement function
  • What we look for :

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, rate analysis, and cost control within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, contract law, and tendering procedures.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable outcomes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement and vendor coordination
